Stanley Steemer of South Florida can clean both upholstery and leather furniture, including pigmented leather and suede. Even if your fabric furniture says “dry clean only,” we are able to clean it. We do thorough inspections and tests of the furniture to determine the safest and most effective way to clean it.

Drying time depends on the type of fabric, the type of furniture, the cleaning methods used and if a protector application was applied. On average, furniture takes anywhere from six to twelve hours to completely dry.

In between professional cleanings, keep your upholstery clean with these tips: vacuum furniture regularly to remove particles and debris, rotate cushions regularly, blot spills with a clean white cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible and use our Professional Spot Remover to prevent spills from staining your furniture.

Store-bought cleaners contain chemicals that can dry out the leather and damage your furniture. You can create a safe cleaning solution from warm water and white vinegar. Vacuum the leather first to remove dust and particles, dampen a microfiber cloth with the mixture, wipe the entire sofa and dry with a clean towel immediately after. It is a good idea to purchase a leather furniture conditioner for care between cleanings. This will keep your leather looking shiny and prevent it from drying out.

Upholstery and leather furniture should be professionally cleaned at least once a year, and every six months if heavily used and if you have pets or allergies.
